Victoria Beckham’s Fall/ Winter 2012/ 2013 collection is composed of cocktail dresses which, compared to her previous collections, have become less glamorous but more versatile. Made with the use of sporty and military details the pieces come totally austere. But due to the clinging effect which accentuates women’s curves dresses in the range are rather feminine.

Victoria Beckham’s signature, lean, body conscious dresses comprised a big chunk of of her spring 2013 collection, for those of us who don’t have a body like Victoria’s, there were some looser, more forgiving separates at the start of the show: silk blouses, skirts with a flared ruffle, even a pair of slouchy pants–and those looks were topped off by Stephen Jones hats. A simple color palette of black, white, and red helped emphasize the clean architectural lines of jackets, pointy collars and stiff kilt skirts. Beckham’s twist on her signature red carpet-ready, curve-hugging pencil dress was sexed up with beautiful lingerie details.

What the line sheet said: “This season I wanted to show how the design criteria that is inherent to the Victoria Beckham brand can be applied in new ways while still staying true to my aesthetic and purpose. Quality and luxury have always been the essence of the ready-to-wear and those remain the cornerstone of the collection while a new notion of versatility, modernity and ease have been introduced.”

The Hair & Makeup: CND had to try a “million shades of nudes” before Victoria Beckham and her stylist were happy with the nail color. In case you’re looking for the perfect nude that looks clear but really isn’t, mix CND Desert Suede and Putty. Diane Kendal (for Maybelline) gave the girls a sculpted face with highlights, a strong defined brow, precise black eyeliner close to the lash line, and no mascara. Lips were “erased’” (seeing this a lot this season!) with concealer. We were kicked out of the backstage area before we could get specifics about the hair look but it was fairly simple–middle part, sleek on top and a bit messy on the ends.
