Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt has signed on to present the accolade for Movie of the Year at this Sunday's 2013 MTV Movie Awards ceremony (April 14).

Movie of the Year - the biggest gong of the night - is an apt award for Pitt to present considering that the actor is one of the biggest stars in the world.

The actor will be handing out the Golden Popcorn to one of last year's biggest movies — Marvel's The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, Django Unchained, Silver Linings Playbook and Ted. Only time will tell if the winner is human, super human, or a foul-mouthed stuffed animal.

And Pitt isn't the only star coming to the show. Game of Thrones actor Peter Dinklage will present the Comedic Genius Award to his Elf co-star Will Ferrell.

The likes of Selena Gomez and rap duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are also set to perform at the event, held at the Sony Pictures Studio Lot in Culver City, California.

Brad Pitt is an actor whose very name inspires drooling platitudes, more about male beauty than about acting. Following his breakthrough as the wickedly charming drifter who seduces Geena Davis and then robs her blind in Thelma & Louise (1991), Pitt became one of Hollywood's hottest properties and spent most of the 1990s being lauded as everything from Robert Redford's heir apparent to the Sexiest Man Alive.

World premieres of new dramas starring Adam Driver and Naomi Watts, a nonfiction look at director Michael Haneke and a documentary about African oil-drilling executives produced by Brad Pitt are to be among the films in competition at this year's Tribeca Film Festival, organizers said Tuesday.

Laurie Collyer, director of 2006 indie darling "Sherrybaby," helmed the Watts film, "Sunlight Jr.," which stars the British-Australian actress as a convenience store operator in a relationship with a paraplegic (Matt Dillon) who together must weather some unexpected circumstances.
