Lindsay Lohan

While Lindsay Lohan used to be an actress, her main stage these days is the paparazzi-filled walk into the courthouse, where she struts her stuff in designer duds like it's a catwalk. Check out her riskiest court fashions ... We get it, Lilo. Figuring out what to wear can be hard sometimes -- especially when you have a stressful day in court ahead of you. Unable to choose between pants and a skirt, Lindsay apparently opted for both, donning a strange white sheer ensemble as she arrived 48 minutes late to her court date in Los Angeles, where she faced charges for lying to police after crashing her car last summer. Lohan finished off the outlandish look with grey pumps, a pair of shades and what looked to be a string of rosary beads worn around her neck.

Lindsay wore a silver Robert Cavalli gown with a plunging neckline. The bedazzling dress was reminiscent of the flapper era. She also wore a white hooded fur coat over her gown.

The "Liz and Dick" actress wasn't without her Elizabeth Taylor ring. The late actress allegedly gave the ring to Lindsay before she died. Lindsay also wore Jimmy Choo shoes.

The starlet’s strawberry blonde hair was styled in soft waves. She kept it simple with minimal makeup. She looked fresh faced and better than years past.

Just a year ago, Lindsay made a startling appearance at a similar event. Her face looked old and haggard. People were concerned about the actress' current state of health.

Lindsay Lohan attended the amfAR's gala. The even took place at Cipriani Wall Street. This is just one of the many events taking place at New York City during New York Fashion Week. This event helped raise funds for HIV and AIDS patients.

It seems Lindsay Lohan couldn’t pass up the chance to stop by Coachella this weekend with little brother Cody. The actress, who is headed to rehab on May 1, wasn’t the only famous face taking in the music and arts festival in Indio, CA. Leonardo DiCaprio, Hilary Duff, Paris Hilton and other stars were spotted hanging with friends too.

Once hailed as one of the finest young actresses of her generation, the 26-year-old Lohan has seen her life swamped by allegations of drug use, excessive drinking, film flops and repeated trips in and out of rehab and the US judicial system.

She has become a salient lesson to many observers of just how badly wrong a Hollywood career can go, and of the high price modern American fame can demand of the most vulnerable celebrities. But last week saw that rarest of things in Lohan's recent career: positive headlines.

On David Letterman's late-night talk show Lohan was questioned about her problems, including being bluntly asked: "Do you drink too much?" Lohan responded with a mix of humour, seriousness and – eventually – a few tears. She talked awkwardly about her plans to go to a rehab centre next month. "I don't want people to think I'm making a joke of that. It's not, like, a joking matter," she said, eventually earning applause from the audience.
